REALIST painting CLASSES
Dora teaches in-person oil painting classes at the Compass Art Center. This class takes students through the exciting process of painting a highly realistic image. Students can choose to paint any genre (still life, landscape, portrait, etc). They will learn techniques to make objects appear three-dimensional, adding depth and intrigue to the artwork. Regardless of experience level, beginner, intermediate or advanced, this class is designed to accommodate and inspire learners of all skill levels. Students will find valuable insights and guidance to enhance their skills. A variety of trompe l’oeil* still life compositions tailored to different skill levels are offered or students can use their own still life composition or personal photograph if preferred. A material list and detailed class information will be sent via email upon registration.
*Trompe l'oeil (French for "deceive the eye") is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that depicted objects exist in three dimensions. Artists often use this technique to make flat surfaces appear as if they have depth, tricking the viewer into perceiving painted objects as real, tangible items.
